Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) Ambassador Hydeia Broadbent shares her personal HIV journey with the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a part of their Let’s Stop HIV Together Campaign.
“I know AIDS is something that happened to me, but does not define me as a person,” Hydeia says in the video. “Anything I can do to help others feel comfortable in their own skin while living with HIV/AIDS, I’ll be a part of it.”
On Jan. 17, Hydeia appeared on “Oprah’s Where Are They Now?” to reignite the conversation about HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention. Click here to keep up with all of Hydeia’s amazing work to combat stigma toward people living with HIV.
