In many countries women face legal, social, and economic hurdles that affect their ability to take ownership of their health and protect themselves from HIV. As a recent study published in The Lancet shows, empowering women and investing in improvements to women’s and girl’s health results in high health, social, and, economic returns.
But despite these challenges, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) support efforts to shift the gender imbalance in the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We won’t stop until we see the end of AIDS in children.
